Bio

I grew up in Colorado, and after completing my medical degree and residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, I decided I needed to be close to the mountains again. Portland fit that bill perfectly.

I was drawn to internal medicine because I enjoy meeting people and helping them prevent and manage diseases. I believe in engaging my patients to take control of their health through active lifestyles and healthy eating. I have a special interest in women’s health, chronic disease management and geriatric medicine, although I see patients of any age over 16. I love working at The Portland Clinic because of the wonderful staff and services we provide.

As an avid mountaineer, my goal is to climb all the high peaks in the Pacific Northwest and Colorado. I volunteer countless hours with the Mazamas, a Portland-based mountaineering organization, and I’m working toward a Diploma in Mountain Medicine to prepare myself to provide expert care to other high-altitude seekers. My other interests include traveling, running and reading.
